1.10 – Since The Day – After Judgment Review
“Elizabeth, alerted by the altercation between Michelle and Mrs. Reynolds, arrives offering her medical assistance to the wounded Mrs. Reynolds.”

“Since The Day” is an episode in which the series takes a bit of a breath following the rather frantic fisticuffs of the previous episode. And it merely reinforces that, somehow, the world is now different than it has been for the past “100 years and 48 hours.”
In this episode:
- The Man says, “No one has seen blood since ‘The Day.’”
- Elizabeth mysteriously arrives and tells the Woman that her nose is broken
- Elizabeth “resets” her nose
- They discuss “the boy”
- Michelle comments that Steven seems to know a lot of people
- She asks, “Who are you?”
This episode doesn’t provide a whole lot by way of exposition or thematic development. Where it is most successful is in its closing moments as it established a sense of mysterious about Steven and Elizabeth. Certainly, Elizabeth’s knowledge and timely appearance are intriguing pieces of the puzzle. But Michelle’s question is a good one: Just who is Steven? Why is it that he seems to be the only one to actually have seen this boy?
