1.11 – Stranger Than Real Life – After Judgment Review
“Now joined by Elizabeth, Steven, Michelle and The Cop continue their search for the boy. Along the way, they meet a Stranger with a curious knowledge of the mysterious prophecy that refers to the little boy.”

“Stranger Than Real Life” is a fascinating episode, perhaps the most satisfying installment of After Judgment to date. A new character is introduced … as is the concept of a “prophecy.”
In this episode:
- The episode begins “100 days and 52 hours later”
- People run away when Steven asks about the little boy.
- Sombrero-man says, “They fear the prophecy — or they’re crazy.”
- Hints that Steven knows something that he isn’t divulging
- Says he “Sees and hears everything.”
- Says that he saw the little boy.
- Sombrero-man wants to join the group and be called “Stranger”
- Steven says there’s a resemblance between his son and the little boy, but they aren’t the same
“The Stranger” is wonderfully conceived character, being equally amusing and enigmatic. His interplay with Steven and the others is highly enjoyable to watch. The introduction of the “prophecy” is a nice addition (looking forward to seeing how that plays out). And the episode’s nicest touch comes from the music which perfectly underscores the “strangeness” and mystery of what is taking place.
