1.14 – Time Waits For No One – After Judgment Review
“Steven rallies the troops at the behest of Lawrence and Xavier to head to the pizza shop. He is stopped, once again by Susan, but this time she insists that she join them.”

“Time Waits For No One” is an episode more about mood than it is about plot or even character (though there is a little bit of the latter). There’s a bit of irony here as Steven and his comrades seem to be doing a whole lot of nothing, all while the viewer is being told that “time waits for no one.”
In this episode:
- Begins with a thoughtful, somber piano and string melody over a brief character montage
- Steven walks through his house waking people up and getting them together to go to the pizza shop
- The Stranger asks, “Between you and me, what’s it like nailing a whore?” — referring to Michelle
- The Stranger wakes up the cop by saying, “You ready to save the world? Let’s go.”
- Steven is told, “Something’s wrong.”
The episode opens with a wonderful little montage, greatly assisted by the music which strikes the right balance between reflective and melancholy. From here, the Stranger takes center stage, rifling off a rather awkward question to Steven and by way of his rather offbeat way of waking up the cop. There is some continuation of the mystery here, though — just enough to keep things tense and suspenseful, despite the quiet “Sunday morning” feel of the rest of the episode.
