About the Author, Samuel Walters

Professional
As a middle school Language Arts teacher, I’ve spent the better part of the past decade teaching in New York City and upstate New York. And while teaching remains my greatest passion, I also enjoy writing and working on websites. These two hobbies have been combined to create DauntlessMedia.net.
The Internet
For the past five years I have, in one way or another, been involved in internet projects. My online efforts began with a Star Wars message board. Starting at the end of June 2003, I helped build the site from the ground up, particularly in terms of policy and site promotion. While working for the message board, I would eventually become the site’s Head Administrator and, later, Technical Administrator (among many other things). During that time, I learned about web design and graphics.
Beginning in December of 2003, concurrent to my responsibilities at the Star Wars message board, I helped launch DauntlessMedia.net as a message board catering to fans of adventure movies. Eventually, my experience and efforts led me to relaunch DauntlessMedia.net as of August 2007. Since then, this site has set a new standard for content-specific websites – to the point where “clone” sites have already begun to spring up. You know what they say, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Writing
I am an aspiring Author. For over fifteen years, I have written poetry, short-stories, and essays. In April 2008, my first book, a collection of poetry called Songs of Storms, was released. Current writing projects include a movie script (working title: Lost Treasures) and a novel (working title: The Chronicles of Andira). DauntlessMedia.net is the means by which I have chosen to distribute my work to the general public, so keep checking back for updates on my personal writing.

cool site
I’m really enjoying your Star Trek: TNG reviews. I will read them all. Very nicely written and insightful.
I just wanted to say how helpful your DS9 reviews have been. I’ve recently bought the whole series and am re-watching it for the first time since it originally aired. Your reviews have helped me skip the filler and focus in on the best episodes.
Your efforts are appreciated!!
