In 2001, the British Broadcast Company (BBC) released The Blue Planet, a documentary which took an exquisite and detailed look at the earth’s oceans — the habitats, plants and animals which comprise the seas. This was followed, in 2005, by Planet Earth, a documentary which chronicles the world above the seas. Between these two documentaries, which are both narrated by David Attenborough, the BBC has created an extraordinary visual record of our planet. The Blue Planet | Planet Earth
BBC Earth followed up its immensely successful Planet Earth series with the 2009 release of Life — a series which focused on the “challenges of life” on earth. Once again, the series is presented in stunning HD and is accompanied by a majestic soundtrack and the thoughtful narration by David Attenborough.
