The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was originally aired on ABC from 1992 – 1996. The entire series has been released on DVD, featuring 22 full-length movies. Each movie is comprised of two 45-minute episodes that have been joined together. The stories featured a Forrest Gump-like plot with Indy encountering all manner of historical figures from Teddy Roosevelt to Mata Hari to Albert Schweitzer and the Red Baron. The DVD release also contained a wealth of extras, including documentaries featuring the historical figures and events which Indy encounters on his adventures.
The series featured Sean Patrick Flannery as a teenaged, young adult version of Indy and Corey Carrier as a younger, pre-teen Indy. Ronny Coutteure played the character of Remy, Indy’s friend and comrade throughout World War I and beyond. Other prominent recurring characters were Indy’s father, Henry, played by Lloyd Owen and his mother, Anna, played by Ruth de Sosa.
