A range: Superb -> Perfect.

The best of the best. If you’re a TNG fan, these are the episodes that you can’t miss. Even viewers who are not necessarily fans of TNG will likely be able to appreciate the art and craft of these episodes.

B range: Good -> Great.

Classic TNG episodes. They aren’t perfect and general TV audiences may not see what all the fuss is about. But fans of TNG will love them.

C range: Below Average -> Slightly Above Average.

These are the episodes that hardcore TNG fans will appreciate. However, there may be some clear mistakes and/or these episodes may be far too obscure to really appeal to a wider audience.

D range: Abysmal -> Poor.

The trash heap. These are the episodes that even the most hardcore TNG fan will find difficult to enjoy. Any or all of the following apply: the story concepts are poor; the episode’s effects, production and acting are poorly executed.

F range: Failure.

There is no redeeming quality to any episode that receives this grade.
