Site Modifications and Updates: 07.04.2011

Greetings, programs!

As has long been hinted, my writing has finally drifted away from reviews and towards more creative endeavors. And a recent first-meeting with a literary agent has only served to sharpen my efforts. To that end, I’ve finally finished the short story “Creepers and Dust” (which, in twelve parts, is now nearly a novella in length) and have revised the Andira Chronicles site to be more user-friendly for potential agents, editors and publishers. Furthermore, I’ve reworked a more specific, tightly focused outline for the first Andira novel, giving it the working title: The Darkness. If recent progress is any indication, a rough draft ought to be completed by the send of Summer 2011 (I’m really excited by character and thematic conflicts that have been fleshed out).

As for the reviews, though they have been neglected, they have not been forgotten. Indeed, I’d love to share my thoughts on the recent Pirates and Transformer films. TNT’s Falling Skies certainly deserves a review. And, of course, I’d like to get caught up on Fringe and The Clone Wars. Heck, I even took the time to watch the pilot episode of Star Trek Voyager. But I have to remind myself not to write reviews (and instead work on the Andira project).

When will these reviews be written? Who can say? (No, not me … I’m busy! No really, I am!) But if the first draft of The Darkness comes together as quickly as I hope, then I ought to have some time before the new Fall TV season begins. In the meantime, I’ll be spending my down time continuing my foray into photography.

Thanks for visiting, and I’ll see you on the other side of The Darkness.
